My New World
Welcome to my new flower-filled world! The redesign of KareyBancroft.com has been a labor of love and I’m so excited to share it.
The last year has been a whirlwind of doing art shows, entering competitions and cutting out many thousands of paper flowers. I wanted an updated online presence that captures where I am today with my floral art and all of the opportunities it presents. I like to think of my brand as a lovely “luxury picnic” with all the flowers I love to grow combined with the happy checks, dots, plaids and stripes that help create the whimsical style I love. Now I’m not only making art, but have designed fun new products that feature my collages.
It started with a brand photoshoot with the talented photographers @harmoniehouseimages. It’s never easy to be on the other side of the camera, but they made it fun and really understood my vision for the new site. Then it was meetings and brainstorming with my talented local website designer @christinedryden.art. She took a bunch of ramblings and a Pinterest mood board and turned it into a lovely little online world that I hope is welcoming to everyone that visits.
Besides original collages and fine art prints, I now have beautiful greeting card sets, silk and cotton bandanas, dish towels, zip cases and ornaments. And that is just the beginning! I am creating new items for home and garden that will be coming next year; what a exciting time.
As I approach my 66th birthday (oh my!) it is definitely thrilling to open a new door and try new things. It is very scary! Somedays I have the worst imposter syndrome… who am I to start a business and splash it all over the internet at my age? But my age also makes me realize that time is short and precious and I don’t want to waste a second!
